%50 EtO - %50 Carbon Dioxide is a sterilisation mixture obtained by diluting ethylene oxide with carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide content lowers the flammability of the mixture and makes it safe to handle. It is preferred for medical devices and materials that are heat sensitive and cannot be steam sterilised.
