Root gases
Root Gas 90/10
Root Gas 90/10 is a nitrogen–hydrogen mixture used to protect the weld root. The reducing effect of hydrogen prevents oxidation (discolouration) on the back of the weld. It is used for back-purging, particularly on stainless pipe and tank welding.
Cylinder volume and filling pressure vary by application. Tell us what you need and we will determine the right class and size together.
